Wearing my heart on my coffee cup

Why do Minnesotans love their coffee so much?  On a scale of coffee-consuming countries, the USA comes in 16th. All the Scandinavian countries are higher on the list. In my mind, Minnesota--if singled out--would rank very high. Someday I'll tell you what started our love affair with coffee.  For Valentine's Day I made heart cookies that can hang from our coffee cups.  It's a fun way to serve coffee, but not so practical when you drink the coffee. The cookie slides forward and you get frosting on your cheek. Or the leg of the heart breaks off and falls into your coffee. Right Buzz?  The cookie cutter comes from World Market. The cookie is the standard chocolate cutout cookie recipe blessed by Hershey's cocoa. The frosting is buttercream with a drop of pink food coloring. The coffee is Starbuck's Yukon Blend. It makes for a warm winter treat.
