If a tree falls in the woods . . .

Beautiful
MAKE A PLATFORM FOR YOUR GRILL.
A slice of a huge fallen tree had been languishing in the garage at the cabin for about a decade. I admired it every time I saw it, but it seemed too big and heavy to use in any practical way. Meanwhile, we were wishing to make a sturdy platform for the grill. Suddenly, the two ideas converged. Buzz dug a hole deeper and wider than the tree slice, poured sand in the hole, and positioned the wood into place. I applied sealer/stain liberally onto the wood, which made the grain and gnurls more visible and, I think, just beautiful.
