When it's too cold to play outside: Idea #1

The sea dragon easily passes for sea weed!
GO TO THE MINNESOTA ZOO

There there is an indoor tropical forest with high temperatures and humidity. Today we strolled past screaming lemurs, swinging gibbons, pink flamingoes, sleeping otters, tropical fish, sharks, a Komodo dragon, tropical birds, and something I've never seen before: sea dragons. They're fragile fish, related to sea horses, from the oceans around Australia. This one is about one foot in length.
The African penguins would make great Minnesotans. Part of the year they swim in the cold waters off the southern coast of Africa, but they enjoy warm, sunny beaches when it's time for nesting. Jasper posed with one of his favorites.
