Angels always head to the top of our Christmas tree. (It must be the wings.) We've been collecting ornaments--usually one new one every year--for a few decades. The three small ones in the photo have LOTS of sentimental value. The little blue angel sitting on the moon was a gift commemorating a very sad day in our lives. The giver was a missionary woman who had been captured and imprisoned in Vietnam during the war. The little purple exuberant angel standing in a cloud represents 6-year-old Kelly when she played the Angel in the church Christmas play.
"And Lo, the Angel of the Lord . . ." She belted out a song telling the shepherds not to be afraid. I was quite amazed and impressed with her ease in front of an audience. The macaroni angel was made by Buzz's crazy Aunt Irene. No one needed an angel more than Irene. She was a "creative" driver who didn't understand new traffic laws and roadways as they developed; the roundabout was especially troublesome. She would just GO, and everyone had to watch out for her. Whew! Funny how memories are exhausting and comforting all at once.

I love the angels! All night, all day, angels watching over me.
I especially love the words of Gabriel, "Fear not".
