Advantages of being snowed in #3

YOU CAN REMINISCE ABOUT PAST WINTERS

The cabin had just been built, but hadn't yet been sided. We used wooden Burma Shave signs to build stairs, kitchen shelves, and the dock. You can see some leaning against the cabin. That's 12-year-old me in the green jacket, my aunt Ginny in the red jacket and fashionable white Russian hat, and Mom in the sensible winter jacket and blue scarf. We had just had the time of our lives, skating on the lake with my cousins. I'm sure we went into the cabin (heated only by a fireplace) for hot cocoa. To think that we were that young and had such energy! I appreciated this snowy fun back then, but I cherish it today.
