| Sunrise on a snowy car |
It snowed all night, dumping 5 inches of snow. It was a light, fluffy snow, though (to be optimistic about it). Bloomington declared a snow emergency today, which sounds catastrophic, but to a native Minnesotan it only means you need to get your cars off the street and into your driveway until the snow plow finds your street. That's not to say that everyone does. There are always a couple of stragglers who disregard the rule and have to work that much harder to shovel out their car from the big drift the snowplow leaves. This is my obedient little car parked in the driveway, with 5 inches of snow on top. Buzz used a big push broom to uncover the car. Then he used a roof rake to pull snow off the roof of the house. And
then he used a snowblower on the driveway and sidewalks. It takes over an hour to recover from a big snow. It's a good workout (still being optimistic).
